Huge test for Hong Kong Women: Pakistan 'A' to tour

The HKCA is pleased to announce a three match series between the Hong Kong Women and the Pakistan Women's 'A' team from April 11th to 18th. The games will be played across Hong Kong venues and allow the Hong Kong public and cricket community to view international women's cricket for only the second time in Hong Kong.

The Pakistan team will be looking to build on the recent success of their team at Women's World Cup where they made it through to the Super Six stage at the expense of more experienced teams, South Africa and Sri Lanka. The team will play three 50 over games on April 13th, 15th and 17th.

Hong Kong is working towards July's ACC Women's tournament and is relishing the opportunity to play against such a competitive team. Hong Kong Women's team captain, Neisha Pratt is hoping her young team can deliver an all round performance and will utilise the opportunity to develop their games further. "While we have a very young team, many of the players have played a number of international games before. Hopefully we will see more players contributing and improving their own performances. We are very lucky to have a team of Pakistan's calibre touring here and we need to maximise the opportunity."

"We have some very young players with good cricketing skills and this is a great learning opportunity for them. All cricketers relish the chance to play against test playing nations and the girls are certainly looking forward to the challenge ahead."

The first game will be played on April 13th at KCC, the second on April 15th at HKCC and the final game on April 17th at KCC. Entry is free and members of the public are very welcome.
