ICC Africa Region - Cricket Week
September marks the beginning of Spring in the Africa continent and with it comes the celebration of Cricket, in the Cricket Week festivities planned by the various countries

Although, ideally countries are requested to hold these events from the 5th - 9th September many countries such as Uganda have already started their programme, with the assistance of Coca cola are hosting the Coca Cola Schools Cricket Week Tournament which concludes this weekend.
Botswana plans to include women in their initiative this year by hosting a Double Wicket Tournament for the ladies and also playing a 20/20 tournament before the grounds get closed for the laying of the Turf Wicket.
In Gambia the week kick off late in September to co-incide with the school break, but overall the success achieved by Spreading the Game at this time is most rewarding.
