ICC announces Emirates umpire and referee appointments through to Feb 2004

All these Test and ODI matches will be refereed by members of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Referees with the exception of the New Zealand v Pakistan series where the referee will be Chris Broad from England (a member of the Emirates Supplementary Panel of Referees).
In the majority of the Test Matches both on-field umpires will be from the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires though four Emirates International Panel Umpires will have an opportunity to officiate at this level.
Tyron Wijewardena from Sri Lanka will stand in the first Test of the Pakistan v Bangladesh series; Aleem Dar from Pakistan will stand in the two Test matches between Bangladesh and England as well as the second and third Tests between Sri Lanka and England; Neil Mallender from England will umpire the second Test between Pakistan and South Africa and the first Test between New Zealand and Pakistan while his compatriot Peter Willey will officiate in the first Test of the Australia v Zimbabwe series.
For all of the ODI matches one official has been appointed by the ICC. In each case he will be accompanied by an official from the Emirates International Panel of Umpires appointed by the home Board.
