The following are the training and media arrangements for the Sri Lanka and Australia teams in Barbados in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 for Friday 27 April:

  • Australia will be training at Kensington Oval from 0900. At the conclusion of the training session, captain Ricky Ponting will hold his pre-match media conference; fast bowler Glenn McGrath, set to make his last international appearance, will also hold a media conference following the training session
  • Please note, media are advised to arrive as soon as possible after the start of the above session to ensure they do not miss anything; it is anticipated the session will be a light one and as soon as the players have completed their work they will undertake their media conferences
  • Sri Lanka will train at the same venue from 1200. Before the training session captain Mahela Jayawardene will hold his pre-match media conference
  • All media conferences will take place in the media conference room in the Hall & Griffiths Stand

  • The final of the ninth ICC Cricket World Cup will take place at Kensington Oval on Saturday 28 April starting at 0930. Australia is the defending champions after beating India in the 2003 final in Johannesburg; Australia is seeking an unprecedented third successive triumph after also winning the tournament in 1999; like Australia, the West Indies won the tournament twice in succession, doing so in 1975 and 1979
