With the group stage of the ICC Cricket World Cup now complete, the eight sides remaining in the tournament are preparing for the start of the Super Eight stage, which gets underway on Tuesday in Antigua with Australia taking on the West Indies.
For the next week or so the eight remaining teams will be split as follows: Antigua and Barbuda - West Indies, Australia, New Zealand and Bangladesh; Guyana - South Africa, Sri Lanka, Ireland and England.
In Antigua, the West Indies is scheduled to train at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground from 0900 until 1130. A player is expected to hold a media conference afterwards. Australia will train after the West Indies at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground from 1200 until 1430. Afterwards a player will hold a media conference at the ground.
Also in Antigua, New Zealand will practice at Stanford Cricket Ground from 0900 until approximately 1100. Ross Taylor is visiting a local school as part of the UNAIDS and UNICEF partnership being run in association with the ICC and Cricket World Cup. Following its game against Bermuda yesterday in Group B Bangladesh will not be training and has no plans for a media conference as it will be traveling from Trinidad to Antigua for much of the day.
In Guyana, England has decided not to train but Sajid Mahmood will hold a media conference at the team hotel, the Pegasus, at 1000. Ireland is scheduled to train in Bourda Oval, Georgetown, from 0900 until 1200. Afterwards a player is expected to hold a media conference.
Also in Guyana, Sri Lanka is scheduled to hold its practice at Everest Cricket Club, Georgetown from 1400 until 1700. Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene will hold a media conference at Guyana National Stadium at 1330. South Africa is scheduled to train at Everest Cricket Club from 0900 until 1200. Captain Graeme Smith is expected to hold a media conference at around 1230 at Guyana National Stadium.
