Friends no more: Chris Gayle and Ramnaresh Sarwan went to war against each other last week  AFP

For a week with no cricket, it certainly wasn't short on news. The ECB's ambitious showpiece event, the Hundred, has now been put on hold for a year, given the uncertainty around the availability of players and restrictions on public gatherings in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. There's a kerfuffle in the CPL camp with Chris Gayle going on a YouTube rant against the Jamaica Tallawahs and his former team-mate Ramnaresh Sarwan, and the PCB has come down hard on enfant terrible Umar Akmal.
