Brisbane: Queensland captain Stuart Law was named Friday to lead an Australian XI cricket team in three one-day internationals against a touring Indian squad, reports AP from Brisbane. Law will lead a team of talented young players, including Test hopefuls Justin Langer and Damlen Martyn, against an Indian squad that will be led by former star batsman Sunil Gavaskar. The Indian squad will be virtually at Test strength and will include current captain Azharuddin and star batsman Sachin Tendulkar. The first match will be played at Manuka Oval in Canberra on April 30 with another game in Canberra on May 1 and the third in Sydney on May 3.
The Australian XI: Stuart Law (Captain), Jimmy Maher, Andrew Symonds, Darren Berry, Ian Harvey, Brad Hodge, Craig Howard, Justin Langer, Damien Martyn Shane Lee, Matthew Nicholson, Daniel Marsh, Ricky Pointing.
