Virender Sehwag, on 14, skied one towards long-on but Sanath Jayasuriya over-ran the ball and misjudged the catch. Sehwag went on to score 64.

MS Dhoni, on 1, clubbed a ball towards deep square leg but Chamara Kapugedera was fielding a bit too forward from the rope, mistimed the jump, and let the ball had for four. Dhoni scored 46 and set up India's win.
