India v Zimbabwe, 2013

Wisden's review of the third ODI, India v Zimbabwe, 2013

At Harare, July 28, 2013. Third one-day international: India won by seven wickets. Zimbabwe 183 (46 overs) (H. Masakadza 38, S. C. Williams 45; A. Mishra 4-47); ‡India 187-3 (35.3 overs) (S. Dhawan 35, V. Kohli 68*, A. T. Rayudu 33). MoM: A. Mishra. ODI debut: M. T. Chinouya (Zimbabwe). India waltzed to a series victory as Zimbabwe were dismantled by swing, seam and Mishra's variations. As with Kohli in the previous match, Brendan Taylor stood his ground when a catch was claimed off him; as with Kohli, TV replays sided with the fielder. The loudest cheer came when No. 9 Tendai Chatara scored his first runs in his seventh one-day international via four overthrows. Rohit Sharma departed early once more, feathering an edge off debutant seamer Mike Chinouya, but Kohli ended the match with a flurry of boundaries. Zimbabwe's decision to leave out Ray Price for the third time on his home ground prompted him to retire from international cricket.
