India women's cricketers set to tour South Africa in March 2002
India has accepted an invitation from the South African Women's Cricket Association to tour South Africa in March of next year
India has accepted an invitation from the South African Women's Cricket Association to tour South Africa in March of next year. This will be the first time that our national players will have the privilege to compete on an international level on home soil.
The tour will consist of One-Day Internationals and at least one Test match.
The South African National side to play India has been selected following a national training camp held earlier this month.

In addition to the exciting news, it has been agreed to hold the Interprovincial Tournament in Cape Town next year. Western Province will be hosting the Tournament. All eleven provinces will participate and the hosting province will enter two sides.
To increase the awareness of women's cricket a road show will be done next year April for the development of women's cricket in the country. The services of Melani Jones (Australian National Cricketer) has been acquired. Melani has conducted many coaching clinics in South Africa, her most recent being in Alice in the Eastern Cape.
