The Tour Programme and Fixtures Committee of the Indian board (BCCI) has approved the itineraries for New Zealand's tour to India and the Indian team's tour to Australia. The New Zealand team will arrive in India on September 23 for a two-Test series, which will be followed by a triangular one-day tournament, with Australia being the third team. Just three days after the final of that tournament, the Indians will leave for Australia for a four-Test series, and will be joined by Zimbabwe for another triangular one-day tournament.

SK Nair, secretary of the BCCI, confirmed that the venues for the Tests and ODIs in India would be finalised only after the Working Committee meeting in New Delhi on June 30. According to the rotation system, Bangalore and Mohali are the likely centres for the two Tests, while the Kolkata will probably stage the final of the triangular tournament.
