The Asia Cup probables made a visit to the National Defence Academy in Khadakvasla before they resumed their morning practice session on the sixth day of the on-going preparatory camp in Pune.
Except for all-rounder Robin Singh, 21 probables in all were present for their morning routine. Robin Singh is still nursing the injury he had sustained during a collision with S Sriram on the second day of the camp.
The final fourteen member squad for the tournament is to be selected on May 22, soon after captain Sourav Ganguly arrives in Pune.
Kumble's steady county form continues
Indian leg spinner Anil Kumble ended with match figures of 4 for 80 as Leicestershire settled for a draw against Hampshire in their PPP Healthcare County Championship Division One match at Grace Road in Leicester on Saturday. But Kumble performance with the willow was not as successful as compared to his bowling. He was caught behind for a paltry two runs off the bowling of Mascarenhas.
Trailing by 60 runs Hampshire lost both their openers cheaply. The visitors were then pushed further on the back foot when Kumble struck twice. He had WS Kendall caught behind followed by the Hampshire captain Robin Smith caught by Ward. Though the Leicestershire bowlers managed to make good inroads into the Hampshire line up, the overs ran out and Hampshire pulled off a draw.
Earlier, Leicestershire resumed their first innings on the final day at 89 for three and declared their innings at 212 for six.
