BCCI announces 30 probables for ACC tourney

The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Saturday announced a list of 30 probables for trials to select the final 14 for the inaugural Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Under-15 tournament to be held in Kuala Lumpur from June 8 to 18. The trials are scheduled to be held in Pune on May 31 and June 1 before the team for the tourney is selected.

The probables: AT Rayudu (Hyderabad), AV Mann (Rajasthan), SS Thakur, VA Indulkar (both Mumbai), S Dixit (UP), PJ Das (Assam), RV Elahi (Uttar Pradesh), IK Pathan (Baroda), NR Rathod (Saurashtra), P More (Maharashtra), M Talukdar (Assam) and SA Pai (Hyderabad). Shivlal Yadav is chairman of HCA selection committee

The newly elected secretary of the Hyderabad Cricket Association N Shivlal Yadav heads the association's senior selection committee for the 2000-2001 season. Others on the committee are another former Test player Arshad Ayub, V Manohar and Moses Nityanand. The junior panel is headed by V Manohar while the schools selection committee chairman is Fiazuddin.

The present coach of the Hyderabad Ranji Trophy team Arshad Ayub would continue to hold the post for the 2000-2001 season and is to be aided by former State player Jyothi Prasad.
