Indonesian National Squad Announced to Play in ICC Tournament in Vanuatu
The Indonesian Cricket Foundation (ICF) recently announced a squad of 22 players to represent Indonesia at the forthcoming EAP Cricket Cup that will be held in Vanuatu in September later this year.

John Stevenson who is based in Jakarta and plays cricket for ISCI in the Kabelvision Cricket league, has been selected as Captain of the national team, Stevenson commented "I am very proud to have been selected as Captain, I have been living and working in Indonesia for 8 years now, and my dream is to see more Indonesians playing this great game, we have a small group of Indonesian cricketers who are improving all the time and am I confident that the team will perform well in Vanuatu, but we need to get more Indonesians playing cricket. Indonesian cricket has now got to a stage where it is playing international cricket on a regular basis, and we need to get that message out there and introduce more Indonesians to cricket."
The squad includes nine Indonesian players, with the remainder made up of cricketers who have been residents in Indonesia for a number years. Half of the squad is based in Jakarta and play cricket regularly in the Kabelvision JCA Cricket League.
