He was removed from the attack for sending down an accidental high fill toss against Somerset in the Friends Provident Trophy on May 11. The incident happened at the start of Ireland's seventh over, which was then completed by Thomas Stayt.
Ireland was reported by umpires Nigel Llong and Barrie Leadbeater for a level two breach and the penalty points will remain on his record for two years.
