Softly spoken with a gentle nature, Jaiswar is well known as the gentleman of Israel cricket. A steady if unspectacular opening batsmen, Jaiswar enjoyed a fantastic 2003 season, finishing the leading batsman in the Premier League with 524 runs at an average of 65.50.

Although he struggled to find his form at the European Championships in Belgium earlier this year, Mahendra remained a popular and well respected member of the team, always smiling and ready to give of his best.

The ICA thanks Mahendra for his contribution to Israel cricket, and wishes him and his family everything of the best in their new home.
