Families of the first Jamaican West Indian Test cricketers will be guests of honour at celebrations of 75 years of West Indian Test cricket tomorrow in Jamaica.

Posthumous awards for R K Nunes-captain, O C 'Tommy' Scott and E A Rae will be received by Bobby Nunes, Alfred Scott and Allan Rae, respectively, during a dinner function at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.

Jamaica's Prime Minister P J Patterson is to speak at the function where the feature address will be delivered by Professor Hilary Beckles, pro-vice chancellor of the University of the West Indies from the Cave Hill Campus. Beckles' presentation will also include the launch of a commemorative book on the 1928 Test series which started it all for the West Indies, 'A Nation Imagined'.

A photographic exhibition is also being held as part of the celebrations. It has been presented by noted cricket photographer Gordon Brooks.

West Indies
