As part of their on-going support of the ICC East Asia-Pacific (EAP) Development Program, New Zealand Cricket has for the past three years included an EAP umpire as part of the panel of officials for the NZ Under 17 National Championships.
The 2005/06 representative was Anton McCloy of Japan, who is also a member of the recently established EAP Umpires Panel.
McCloy (left) was selected to officiate in the Napier event as a development initiative courtesy of NZ Cricket. In addition he received mentoring from NZ Cricket Umpires Manager Brian Aldridge, who has been working with umpires from the EAP region for the past five years.
ICC EAP would like to thank New Zealand Cricket for their support of this and other ICC EAP programs.
