Jimmy made his first class debut for Durham as an 18-year-old back in 1992 when the Club joined the first class circuit. Since then Jimmy has played over 90 first class matches, scored over 4,000 runs with a highest score of 159 not out.
Club Chairman, Bill Midgley said "Jimmy has been a great servant of the Club who has unfortunately suffered his fair share of injuries over the years. We are grateful of the contribution he has made to Durham and wish him well and will follow with interest his future career."
