Speaking to the press isn't always fun, but Mohammad Kaif wouldn't have minded doing so after his potentially career-shaping 148 not out against West Indies at St Lucia. At the press conference at the end of the day, Kaif spoke about how he handled pressure, and why making that century in the West Indies mattered so much to him.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni embedded himself among the reporters and asked Kaif how he planned to celebrate his century. Kaif enigmatically shrugged aside Dhoni's suggestion of going to the beach. He would think of celebrating, he said, only after India won the Test.

Brian Lara also spoke to the press, and said that he was aiming to reach the fourth day with West Indies still batting in their first innings. He also admitted that he misread the pitch, and that playing four specialist fast bowlers on this surface was a mistake.
