With the Twenty20 Cup in full swing, it's worth taking a look at the Frizzell County Championship, which is taking a timely break at the moment. And a quick glance at the odds tells you that things have changed in the last few weeks.

Division 1
The bookies have finally caught up with the fact that Kent may just have what it takes to win the title this season. A month ago, they were bottom of the table and available at 9/1 (10.00). That was always a generous price given that Kent had drawn all three of their games at the time, and now they sit proudly atop the table, still unbeaten in eight games, and their price has been slashed to joint favourites at 3/1 (4.00).

Warwickshire, who began the season as outright favourites at 11/4 (4.25), are also 3/1, with just 5.5 points between themselves and Kent. Surrey, who are joint third in the table, are 9/2 (5.50), while Hampshire, who share third place, are 6/1 (7.00). Both those two have played one more game than fifth-placed Nottinghamshire, who are 4/1 (5.00). Indeed, Hampshire's chances could be significantly affected by the England Test selectors later this summer - if Kevin Pietersen is picked for the Ashes - and their price may even lengthen.

The optimistic among you can get 500/1 (501.00) on Glamorgan, who sit bottom of the table with 39 points.

Division 2
Not too much has changed with the betting in Division 2, with Durham still riding high at the top of the table, 21 points clear of Worcestershire. Having begun the season as 20-1 outsiders, they were cut to 3/1 a month ago and, still unbeaten after eight games, they are now as short as 6/5 (2.20) with bet365. The loss of their international players does not appear to have affected them as yet, but potential backers should still be wary of a depleted line-up at some stage.

Worcestershire, 11 points clear in second place, have been cut to 7/2, while Lancashire and Yorkshire, third and fourth respectively, are 9/2 (5.50). Lancashire had been 11/10 (2.10) favourites at the start of the season, while Yorkshire have played a game less than the top three.

Essex, just 3.5 points behind Yorkshire, are seemingly good value at 9/1 (10.00), while Northamptonshire, who have a game in hand, are 33/1 (34.00). Derbyshire, 28.5 points adrift at the bottom, are a massive 750/1 (751.00).

Cheltenham & Gloucester Cup
Just eight teams remain in the C&G Cup and with holders Gloucestershire gone, Lancashire are 100/30 (4.33) favourites for the trophy.

Yorkshire, who began the competition as a weak favourite at 13-2, are now 4/1 (5.00), while Warwickshire are 9/2 (5.50) (from 7/1 (8.00)) and Hampshire and Surrey are both available at 6/1 (7.00).

County Championship leaders Kent can still be backed at 9/1 (10.00), while Northants and Sussex remain the outsiders at 11/1 (12.00).
