Hosts and tournament favourites Kenya enjoyed a 10 wicket win over Bermuda on Monday, while the Dutch defeated Canada by 8 wickets just 24 hours later.

Kenya captain Steve Tikolo is expecting a tricky test against Peter Cantrell's Netherlands team. "We played Holland on a number of occasions. We played them last year in a three-day game.

Obviously (Wednesday) is a one-day game so it will be a different set-up," said Tikolo.

"We're looking forward to the game, the boys are prepared and spirits are high.

"(Wednesday) will be a big day for both teams. We're starting on an even footing.

Both teams' opening victories provided valuable time at the crease for top-order batsmen, with Kenya's Maurice Ouma and the Netherlands' Bas Zuiderent turning in unbeaten knocks of 54 and 76 respectively.

Kenya came into this competition full of confidence after recently winning the Mombasa tri-series against Scotland and Canada, whom the Africans face in their final two matches in Nairobi.

Tikolo added: "We've been working towards playing some good cricket over the past six months, I'm happy to say the boys are doing that.

"It's a good preparation for the World Cup."
