Al Sayer (288) beat Hubara (252) in the Halburton Classic League Final by a margin of 26 runs. Waheed (74 and 1 wkt) of Al Sayer and Ulfat (120) of Hubara were declared joint winners of the Man of the Match award.

Hubara (252) won the Baker-Hughes Premier league trophy by beating Sri Lankan Sports (241) by 11 runs. Ayoub Shekh was declared the Man of the Match fr his half century and restricitve bowling.

The International Schools won the Under 19 NAPESCO trophy in the Champions' Challenge Schools tournament. They beat Pakistan Schools by 40 runs. Amjad Ashraf (98) was the man of the final. The Pakistan Schools won the Under 15 NAPESCO trophy beating Indian Schools. Zohaib Ali (81) was the Man of the Match.

Taimour Ashraf was declared the schoolboy cricketer of the year and Abdulla Ifthikhar the junior schoolboy cricker of the year.

Kuwaiti cricketing brothers Taher and Mahmoud Bastaki are coaching a bunch of about 30 talented, motivated and committed Kuwaiti youngsters in cricket and they are learning fast!

The Bastakis think they will be ready for good competitive cricket very soon. The coaching takes place at the Ahmadi Cricket grounds.
