Conditions were fine and warm as the two teams took to the field in the Twenty20 format match. Lamma batted first and accumulated a competitive 122-9 from their twenty overs with skipper Neisha Pratt top scoring with 66. But it could have been worse for Lamma as Pratt fell with the score on just 95 but the Lamma tail-enders batted well to add a further 27 runs to the total. Godiva was the most successful of the HKCC bowlers, claiming three wickets for just eleven runs from her five overs.

Pratt marshalled her troops well in the second innings and although just three HKCC wickets were claimed, the runs were kept to a trickle in the first ten overs. Pratt bowled out her five overs at the top of the innings, conceding just nine runs as the HKCC openers preserved their wickets for the late innings charge. However the pressure got too much for Betsy Chan who was hopelessly run-out going for a quick single. Natasha Miles led her team's run-chase but her final tally of 49 runs was too little too late as HKCC fell twenty-one runs short of their target.

Congratulations to Lamma on achieving the League and Cup double for 2005-06!
