PORT-OF-SPAIN - Brian Lara was bowled off the bottom edge for just three yesterday as his North team were beaten by South in a one-day match at Queen's Park Oval, yesterday. Lara, who made a sensational 71 not out in the Gerry Gomez Classic on Saturday, fell to pacer Marlon Black who took five for 21 in seven overs.

The North made just 90 in 30.2 overs and the South then raced to 93 for three off 27.2 overs to win by seven wickets. Leg-spinner Dinanath Ramnarine picked up two for four off 3.2 overs for South.
