Lewis awarded benefit

Durham's captain Jon Lewis has been awarded a benefit year in 2004. He joined Durham in 1997 after seven years with Essex.

"It's been great to be involved with Durham for the last eight seasons and watch how the club has developed," he said. "Hopefully I will be around for a few more years to see the continued expansion of cricket in Durham."
