Light rain delays play at Newlands

Overnight and early morning rain on Friday has delayed the start of the Supersport Series match between Nashua WP and Easterns at Newlands.

Lunch was taken at 11H40 CAT with play scheduled to commence at 12H10 CAT but a light drizzle start falling over the Newlands Cricket Ground at 12H00. The prospect of play before 14H00 CAT looks remote at this stage. Weather forecasts predict clear and sunny conditions over Newlands this afternoon.
