Manoj Tiwary set to return after eight months out
Manoj Tiwary has been named in the Bengal squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy

Manoj Tiwary, the Bengal batsman, is set to return to competitive cricket after eight months out after suffering knee surgeries last year. He has been named in the Bengal squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy, the domestic one-day competition set to start on February 27. Tiwary hasn't played top-flight cricket since last season's IPL, missing out the entire Ranji Trophy
He has suffered a succession of injuries of late: he was sidelined after injuring his back in the Ranji Trophy in December 2012 and hurt his shoulder during the Vijay Hazare Trophy in March 2013, just a month after returning to competitive cricket. He was also out of action for week in the IPL 2013 due to a bruised hand. Injuries have also hampered his international career, particularly the shoulder problem he picked up at practice in Bangladesh in mid-2007, on the eve of what would have been his India debut.
Bengal squad: Laxmi Ratan Shukla (capt), Manoj Tiwary, Wriddhiman Saha, Sudip Chatterjee, Sayan Sekhar Mondal, Shreevats Goswami, Jayojit Basu, Amir Gani, Iresh Saxena, Veer Pratap Singh, Ashok Dinda, Vivek Singh, B Amit, Pritam Chakraborty, Sourasish Lahiri, Debabrata Das
