Marvan Atapattu to face hearing when the team returns to Sri Lanka

At an emergency meeting held on 12th November 2007 at Sri Lanka Cricket Head Quarters the following decision was taken by the Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket with regard to the statement made by Marvan Atapattu in Australia.

Sri Lanka Cricket does not wish to disrupt the on going tour of Australia, specially as the 2nd Test in Hobart will commence on 16th November 2007. However Sri Lanka Cricket is very distressed and disappointed about the statements made by Marvan Atapattu on the Selectors and Sri Lanka Cricket, and will take necessary disciplinary action on his return to Sri Lanka.
