Matthew Hart Northern Districts' Cricketer of the Year

Northern Districts cricket have named a number of its premier trophies after former captains of the Association who have had a major influence on the Association:

The Eric Petrie Cup for the top club team in Northern Districts;
The Bruce Pairaudeau Cup for the top Under-19 District Association team;
The Brian Dunning Cup for the inter-district one-day competition.

This is the first season these trophies will be awarded.

This year was a particularly difficult year for picking the merits of individual performances at international and domestic level.

To arrive at the end decision the criteria of "impact on the Northern Districts team performance to be a major consideration" had to be taken into account in a number of awards where performances could not be separated.

Fergus Hickey Rosebowl - Northland
Brian Dunning Cup - Northland and Hamilton
Allan McBride Trophy for Service to Junior Cricket - Mike Nitz
Umpire of the Year - Ian Shine
Young Cricketer of the Year - Matthew Drake
Women's Cricketer of the Year - Nicola Browne
Fielder of the Year - James Marshall
Batsman of the Year - Scott Styris
Bowler of the Year - Joseph Yovich
Air New Zealand Travelcentre Cricketer of the Year - Matthew Hart
