Matthew Maynard set for Glamorgan return

The BBC has reported that Matthew Maynard is set to return to Glamorgan as their new director of cricket.

The appointment, which will start in 2008, has yet to be ratified by the Glamorgan board but this is expected to be a formality.

Maynard was England assistant coach under Duncan Fletcher but lost his post when Fletcher resigned in April.
