McCAGUE TO FLY HOME DUE TO INJURY

England decided to send home fast bowler Martin McCague for treatment to a shin injury on Wednesday but delayed naming his replacement.

McCague is expected to be sidelined for at least four weeks with a stress fracture to his right shin but he could yet return to play in the final two Ashes tests against Australia.

"Medical advice is that Martin needs a month to six weeks to make a full recovery," tour manager Mike Smith told reporters.
