Media arrangements for ICC Champions Trophy on Friday 20 16 October

The following are the media arrangements on Friday 20 October in Mumbai on the day of the Group B match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka, and in Jaipur, ahead of the Group A match between Australia and England that is scheduled to take place the following day.

Mumbai

New Zealand takes on Sri Lanka at the Cricket Club of India in Mumbai. The match is a day-night game and is scheduled to start at 1430 local time.

Entry for the media attending the match will be via the North Stand (on the opposite side of the ground from the pavilion; the gate is near to and on the opposite side of the road from the Ambassador Hotel); accreditation passes will not be sufficient to guarantee entry into the press box and in order to gain that access, media will need to collect a media match ticket as they enter the ground. Those tickets will be available from approximately 1200, 2 1/2 hours before the scheduled start of play.

Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the stadium and can be secured by purchasing an internet card for Rs. 250 which will be on sale in the press box. Power points are available for photographers on either side of the sightscreen at both ends of the ground.

Non-rights holder cameramen will not be allowed access to the match; they will only be allowed into the ground shortly before the close of play. They should assemble at Gate 4, on the pavilion side of the ground, and will be escorted to the location for the post-match media conference, which is the indoor badminton court.

Jaipur

Friday is the day before the Australia - England clash taking place in Jaipur. The match is also a day-night game starting at 1430.

Both sides are scheduled to hold pre-match media conferences. Australia will hold its session at 1200 then, at 1400, England will hold its media conference. Both media conferences will take place in the Marquee on the ground floor at the North End of the Rajasthan Cricket Association ground.

New Zealand is the only one of the four sides playing over the next two days which has got a win on the board in the second round stage of the ICC Champions Trophy. Defeat for Australia, England and Sri Lanka is likely to end their hopes of reaching the semi-finals.

Group A is made up of hosts India, Australia, England and the West Indies while Group B's sides are New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka.

The ICC Champions Trophy involves the top ten ODI sides playing 21 matches over 30 days at four venues with the final to be held at the Cricket Club of India in Mumbai on 5 November. The West Indies are the defending champions after beating England by two wickets at The Brit Oval in September 2004.
