Melinda Gilchrist gives birth to baby girl

Melinda Gilchrist, Adam's wife, gave birth to a baby girl this morning at St John of God Hospital in Subiaco, Western Australia. Weighing a healthy 7 lb. 7oz., Annie is Gilchrist's second child. Harrison, their son, was born in December 2001.

Gilchrist had opted out of the Videocon Cup anticipating the birth of the child and will now travel to England to join the Australian team for the Champions Trophy.

Michael Vaughan left the field during the Headingly Test against West Indies when his wife gave birth. Gilchrist though, had no such hassles.
