Miandad tore a ligament of the knee and is out of action for six weeks. This happend while playing a game of soccer in the training camp. The doctor has said that there is no way Miandad can play within six weeks and would atleast need that much rest.
The Pak board has not decided on a replacement. It said that it would leave that decision of asking for replacement to Intikhab Alam and Salim Malik. Right now it looks like both of them would go to SL and then think about it.
