Adam Milne, the Royal Challengers Bangalore fast bowler, has been ruled out for the current IPL season. He has been replaced by Karnataka left-arm seamer S Aravind.
Bought by Royal Challengers in the February auction for Rs 70 lakh (approx. $1,11,000), Milne suffered a heel injury during the World Cup due to which he missed New Zealand's last two matches. Along with Mitchell Starc, he was expected to form the core of the Royal Challengers attack but did not feature in any games this season.
His replacement, Aravind, was part of the Royal Challengers set-up in the 2011 and 2012 seasons during which he took 27 wickets from 20 matches. He was Royal Challengers' leading wicket-taker in the 2011 season.
