AS Srivatstava and Maninder Singh led a strong rearguard action as Madhya Pradesh recovered after a poor start to score 264 for eight at close of play of their Cooch Behar Trophy semifinal against Punjab at the Telco club ground in Jamshedpur on Sunday.
MP lost five wickets cheaply before Srivatsava and Maninder did a major repair job. Srivastava scored 101 before he was leg before to Yuvraj Singh. Srivastava batted 215 minutes, faced 165 balls and hit 17 fours. Maninder's patient 57 was compiled in 227 minutes. He faced 192 balls and hit eight of them to the ropes. A Uniyal and Yuvraj Singh took three wickets each.
