Tendulkar docked for slow over rate

In addition to seeing his night spoiled by a loss to Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Sachin Tendulkar has been fined US $20,000 for Mumbai Indians' slow over rate on Friday.
"At the end of the match, Mumbai Indians were assessed to be one over behind the required rate after allowances were taken into consideration," said an IPL statement. "Since it was Mumbai Indians' first offence of the season, under the IPL's Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, the captain, Sachin Tendulkar, was fined $20,000."
Tendulkar made his first century in Twenty20s to power Mumbai to 182 for 2 but that wasn't enough to prevent Kochi from securing their first win in the IPL.
He had been penalised twice in the 2010 season for maintaining a shoddy over rate, losing a total of $60,000. A third offence will lead to the team captain facing a one-match ban.
