Sussex have announced that Chris Nash did not suffer a broken leg in his collision with team-mate Dwayne Smith during Sunday's Twenty20 Cup match against Kent at Canterbury.

The game was delayed for 15 minutes after the two collided on the boundary trying to catch a top edge from Geraint Jones. Nash was eventually stretchered off and taken to hospital.

"X-rays to the leg revealed that there was no break, but deep tissue damage and Chris was discharged last evening," a club spokesman said on Monday.

It is expected he will be out of action for around two weeks.
