Nathan Astle 100 overs away from joining team in Australia

Nathan Astle will fly out on Wednesday to join the New Zealand team for its VB Series double-header weekend in Adelaide.

Astle has to get through tomorrow's State Shield game for Canterbury against Central Districts at Jade Stadium.

If he is able to do that the selectors have already confirmed that he will be on the first plane to Adelaide.

Astle came through yesterday's win over Auckland in fine style, taking part with significant contributions in all aspects of the game.
