Neve Yonatan joined the race for the Division 2 title, defeating league leaders Ramle by 76 runs in Ashdod on Saturday. Ramle remain top of the table, with 24 points with 1 game remaining. Neve Yonatan are in third place, with 20 points, also with 1 game left to play. Lod lie second, with 20 points but with a game in hand over their rivals. Should they defeat Negev 1 on September 24, the title would be decided on the final day of the season when Lod plays Ramle. However if Lod loses to Negev 1, and defeats Ramle, Neve Yonatan would have an outside chance of winning the division as well.
