Royal Challengers Bangalore needed seven to win off the final ball against Mumbai Indians. Lasith Malinga conceded only one run, against Shivam Dube who was on strike, but replays revealed that the on-field umpire S Ravi had missed spotting a front-foot no-ball. The mistake was criticised by both captains, and many in the cricketing fraternity called for the use of third umpire in no-ball calls.
