Lahore, Jan 2: The first day of the Quaid-i-Azam Cricket Trophy Grade-I match between Lahore Blues and Faisalabad washed out on Tuesday due to intermittent rains of Sunday which rendered the LCCA Ground and wicket soggy.
Umpires Salim Badar and Feroz Butt inspected the pitch before finally calling off the day's play at the lunch interval. The rainy water due to improper covers arrangement sipped onto the pitch making it unplayable and the chances of play on Wednesday are also looking bleak.
Meanwhile, heavy rains also prevented any play on the first day between Sheikhupura and Bahawalpur at the Sheikhupura Stadium on Tuesday, according to information available here.
