Twenty20 cricket is all set to venture into Asia for the first time when Leicestershire County Cricket Club plays a Pakistan Cricket Board XI on April 1 in Lahore.
Leicestershire, who recently completed a tour of India, are slated to contest in a three-day match in Lahore, a one-day match in Sheikhupura, and a Twenty20 game. The PCB XI would be captained by Naumanullah. Leicestershire are the current champions of the Twenty20 cup in England.
Twenty20 made its international debut when Australia played New Zealand last month in Auckland. The new version of the game has received mixed responses from the cricket fraternity, although it has managed to draw large crowds to the ground.
