Lahore, Dec 19: Apollo Club and Model Town Nawab Club, won matches in the Lahore Division Ramzan-ul-Mubarik Invitation Cricket Tournament at different grounds on Tuesday.
Apollo Club defeated Servis Club by 22 runs at the Model Town Greens ground.
Batting first, Apollo Club piled up 200 runs for nine wickets in the allotted 30 overs due to sparkling century by Mohammad Hafeez who scored 103. Afzal Shah (29), Maqsood (20), Raza Khan (20) were the other key scorers.
For Servis Club, Faisal and Rahman took three and two wickets for 29 and 37 runs, respectively.
In reply, Servis Club could collect 178 runs for all out in 29 overs. Farhan (57), Javed Butt (27) and Farooq Shahzad (22) were the principal contributors.
Babar was the main successful bowler for Apollo Club, taking three wickets for 31 runs.
Playing at own ground, Model Town Nawab Club thrashed MAO College by 65 runs.
Put in to bat first, the winning club mustered a total of 204 for nine in the stipulated 30 overs with Mohammad Husain (65), Haroon Rasheed (56) and Rao Usman (36) emerged as main scorers.
Atif, Hafiz Dilawar and Balal took two wickets each for 43, 36 and 37 runs, respectively for MAO College.
In reply, MAO College scored 139 for nine in 30 overs and lost the match.
Arshad (35), Aamir Gulzar (22) and Salman Arif (23) were the main scorers. For the winners, Zaheer Amjad and Mohammad Husain earned four and three wickets for 21 and 26 runs, respectively.
