LAHORE, Aug 15: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) executive council, scheduled to meet on Sunday at 10:30 am, will appoint coaches and captains for the Pakistan "A" side and the Pakistan senior team, besides taking some other important decisions.

The PCB chief executive Majid Khan told Dawn on Saturday evening that the council members were schedule to deliberate over report of the probe committee which had been probing into allegations of betting and match-fixing by certain players. The report was submitted by the committee headed by Justice Ijaz Yousaf and which includes Nusrat Azeem, Mian Munir Ahmad and Waqar Ahmad.

Majid Khan said that accounts of the PCB will also be discussed and approved by the council, which was supreme body of cricket in Pakistan.

While replying to a question about arbitration being done by the former Indian Cricket Control Board (BCCI) president N. P. K. Salve concerning telecasting rights of the World Cup matches in India, Majid Khan said that legal expert Ali Sibtain Fazli had gone to India to present Pakistan's point of view and safeguard the PCB interest. After the Pakistan-India-Lanka-Committee (PILCOM) accounts were finally settled, Pakistan's share would be determined. "A PCB representative is expected to visit India again to be present there during the next date of hearing of the arbitration of the case", said Majid Khan.
