When reporters encountered him with a volley of questions after the executive committee meeting of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) in Chandigarh, his only reply was "I am bound by the discipline of the board. I have no personal opinion on any of the issues."

Pressed further, Bindra said, ``I am president of the PCA. Till I hold this office, I will not make public my personal opinion.'' He maintained that the PCA now had no confrontation with the BCCI. ``Problems, if any, would be amicably sorted out and we are in the process,'' he said.

Bindra also maintained that he had made no comments about Kapil Dev continuing as coach of the Indian cricket team. The BCCI executive has already authorised its president AC Muthiah to take a decision on the matter after consulting the former Indian captain.
