PCB clarifies erroneous press report

PCB has clarified a report appearing in a section of press on Monday about the proposed tour of New Zealand team to Pakistan, which is based on incomplete comprehension of the circumstances.

A PCB spokesman said that the slot available for the proposed tour is from end of April to August 2002, a fact which was universally known.

Both the Pakistan and New Zealand Cricket Boards are constantly in touch and no firm dates have yet been decided.

The officials of the Board are fully aware of and in complete knowledge of the cricket commitments of various countries. However a lot of information cannot be shared with the media, unless and until the arrangements are firmed up, the spokesman added.
