Cricket Committee Management considered the requests of Karachi City Cricket Association and Lahore City Cricket Association for allowing them to field a third team in Under-19 Grade II tournament in its meeting at PCB on 5th August 2002. In order to save the cricketing talent being wasted, the requests were accepted. Both these Associations will be allowed to field three under-19 Grade II teams now but the permission granted is conditional. If the third team fielded by KCCA or LCCA attain a position in the tournament, it will not be promoted.

Playing Conditions & Rules for Domestic Tournaments

PCB Rules Committee discussed the draft playing conditions and rules for domestic tournaments in detail and gave their recommendations to CMC. The CMC, after having considered the recommendations of the Rules Committee, approved the playing conditions and rules of domestic tournaments for the season 2002/2003.

Umpires

Chairman NUC submitted his recommendations for panel of Grade I and Grade II umpires for the season 2002/2003. The CMC also approved the panel as recommended by National Umpiring Council.
