Steffan Piolet, the 21-year-old seam bowler, has been offered a two-year contract with Warwickshire, keeping him at Edgbaston until the end of the 2011 season.
He has impressed the club with some recent spells in one-day cricket and Ashley Giles, Warwickshire's director of cricket, believes he has a good future. "He has worked very hard and shown a lot of promise in his appearances in the one day side; we hope that he can build on his good work in the shorter format and push for a place in the county squad in the following years."
Piolet joined Warwickshire on a trial from Sussex midway through 2008, and was offered a full-time contract at the end of the season. He achieved his career-best bowling figures of 6 for 17 this June against Durham University.
